Surveillance and assistance with the migration situation in Mauritania

This project is part of the Community Rapid Reaction Mechanism (MRR) Programme. The objective is to strengthen the Mauritanian authority’s ability to manage its own migratory flows with respect for people's dignity and fundamental rights.
To achieve this goal, the programme is working with the Red Cross to help immigrants, as well as providing temporary assistance and reception services with the National Police Force, training the Mauritanian authorities in border surveillance and detection of false documentation, and training the Mauritanian gendarmerie by means of joint maritime surveillance patrols with the Spanish Guardia Civil.
