Supporting the prevention of trafficking in persons, smuggling of migrants and related crimes
Bolivia
The Plurinational State of Bolivia has a regulatory and organisational conglomerate, made up of a Public Policy, a National Council & 9 Departmental Councils and a Comprehensive Law on the fight against trafficking in persons, smuggling of migrants and related crimes. It is essential to provide the Plurinational Policy to Combat Human Trafficking and Human Smuggling with the means and resources, human, technical and financial, to guarantee its sustainability over time and consolidate what has already been achieved. In this sense, the project financed by the European Union strengthens the capacity for articulation and coordination between the different institutions.
It is necessary to strengthen coordination between all services and institutions with the capacity to act in the area of care, protection and reintegration of victims of trafficking in persons, smuggling of migrants and related crimes, so that they have all the necessary support without having to wander between different mechanisms. In addition, it is necessary to work towards guaranteeing free care, specifically health care, for all the attention and check-ups that victims require. And, on the other hand, the need for shelters
