Support for the modernisation of the Justice Department

"The Justice Institutions Support Project (PAIJ) being implemented in Equatorial Guinea forms part of the Good Governance Programme of the 9th EDF (European Development Fund) and the ongoing cooperation between the European Commission and the Government of Equatorial Guinea, whose activities include improving the country’s justice system.

The aim of the project is to strengthen the way the Justice System in Equatorial Guinea works, with three courses of action having been planned to achieve this:

•  Encouraging Legal Security:
•  Improving the training of those involved in the justice system
•  Fostering contact between the Justice Department and users"
