Support for managing borders and migration in Morocco

One of the objectives of the operational framework of the EU Trust Fund for North Africa is to mitigate the vulnerabilities associated with the fight against irregular migration. The action aims to strengthen the operational capacities of Moroccan institutions in integrated border management in accordance with the humanitarian approach of the SNIA (Stratégie Nationale d'Immigration et d'Asile) in Morocco.
The project's specific results include an improvement in operational competencies in border surveillance (land and sea), combating migrant smuggling and trafficking in human beings and improving inter-institutional and cross-border cooperation in the field of irregular migration.
