Strengthening of the Ukrainian Standardization Agency

Twinningproject, funded by the European Union, aimed at strengthening the capacities of the Ukrainian Standardization Agency in which the standardization entities of Germany, Austria, Romania and Spain (DIN, ASI, ASRO and UNE) provide their experience to improve the business climate, competitiveness, innovation and the integration into the European internal market by improving quality Ukrainian infrastructure.
The key objective is to support the application of the Association Agreement (AA/DCFTA) between the European Union and Ukraine through the implementation of the provisions related to trade (removal of technical barriers) and the economy, focusing on establishing a system for operational standardization which is compatible with European standards.
The project is led by Germany’sDeutsches Institut für Normung (DIN) with the participation of the Spanish Association for Standardization and Certification (UNE), who provide the Ukrainian Scientific, Research and Training Centre with support on Standardization, Certification and Quality (UkrNDNC).
