The aim of the project is to reduce illicit drug trafficking in the EU, in particular cocaine.
To this end, the project aims to:
1) facilitate joint investigations aimed at disrupting illicit drug trafficking through the creation of a network of high-level contacts;
2) improve the exchange of operational information through the establishment of an Anti-Drug Criminal Intelligence Centre (ACIC); and
3) improving the EU's capacity to combat drug trafficking through joint training programmes.
To this end, the FIIAPP will mobilise specialists from the Guardia Civil and from Portugal, the Judicial Police will be mobilised.
