The European Union is financing a project led by the State Aviation Safety Agency and the National Civil Aviation Authority of the United Kingdom that provides support to the Ukraine State Aviation Administration to strengthen its competencies in air operations and on flight crew licences. 

The aim of the project, managed by the FIIAPP, is to adapt Ukrainian regulations to the European guidelines derived from the Agreement on a Common Aviation Area between the EU and Ukraine; to improve aviation security overseeing capacities, and; to establish the foundations for a safe, protected and efficient air transport system.
